Ken Done was born in Australia in 1940 and graduated from the National Art School in Sydney. He moved to New York to work in advertising but eventually moved back to Australia to become a full-time painter in 1975. His brightly-colored, simplistic paintings have made him one of the country’s most famous painters. Yellow Afternoon, Sydney was painted in 2000 and has become one of Done’s most iconic images. This limited edition digital print giclee is a stunning reproduction of the original work made on textured, acid-free art paper using the finest archival inks. Only 300 of this size were made and this is a low number (13 out of 300). The work measures approximately 17.5 x 23.5 inches (45 x 60cm) and is in excellent condition except for a slight corner bend and small edge ding (see photos).
