This is a close to new as it gets. This backpack has never been carried, but it sat in my closet for the past 3 years unused. The water pouch is new as well. The only flaw I can find is that the black leather flap in the front has some discoloration, I'm guessing that happens with time. See photos. It has padding on the back. Everything in great condition.
