Liberty Head Mercury Dime Silver Coin Link Bracelet
Mercury dimes were a very popular ten-cent piece produced by the United States Mint from 1916 to 1945. These dimes were composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The coin contains a total of just over .072 troy ounces of silver.
The obverse (front) of the dime features a depiction of a young Liberty with a winged Phrygian cap, which is often mistakenly associated with the Roman God Mercury
This bracelet features 5 dimes (coins dated 1937, 1940, 1942, 1944, & 1945) set in hexagon shaped pieces and is 8" long end to end.
History sidenote - 1916-D. One of the coins struck during the Mercury Dime's inaugural year, 1916, is unquestionably the rarest coin in the set. The 1916-D dime, struck at the Denver Mint, has the lowest mintage of the series – 264,000 coins. Be on the lookout 😊
Clasp (fold over style) is working and it is a great vintage shape some normal wear on the back as seen in pictures.
Other than dimes containing silver the bracelet itself is alloy.
