Hello! Please note, item has a lot of patina - both upper thigh areas have heavy discoloration and distress, and the ankle region has some fraying. There are patches underneath both upper thigh regions - it doesn't appear there is a hole, but it must have been preventative when it got a little distressed. In typical vintage fashion, there is a typical linger of smoke smell on them as well (I washed one time, and the smell is much less, but still there). Levis never die, and getting a 90's pair of 501's that are this broken in is definitely in style. Rating system is based on MY review of the item.
