Levis 508 w34 tapered colored stitching

Why was the 508 style phased out by Levis? It’s my favorite. Tapered leg cut & love the colored stitching of various gold and orange hues in these jeans. Zip front, copper rivets, pretty blue- dark but not dark-wash. These are in great shape and ready to rumble!
