@thestylehustle yes, they are. They have the salvage denim ribbon on the seam inside.

@thriftmedley selvedge is not a “ribbon”. It stands for “self-edge” meaning its a closed weave on the end of the fabric and will not fray. It does not need an overlock stitch to prevent raw edges from fraying as there are no raw edges. It’s also often called “redlines” because it has a white edge with a thin red line woven into the selvedge. I’m assuming the “ribbon” you are referring to is an overlock stitch.

If they’re selvedge, I sincerely apologize. However I don’t see a photo of the selvedge and I’ve never seen any selvedge used in denim with elastic in the material or in this modern “premium” line. Selvedge is woven with 100% cotton.

@thestylehustle thank you for your input. I have a Levi’s expert who I consult. I’ll check with them and update if needed.

Sorry, I see they are a hemp blend so it may be possible … again, if I’m wrong I am truly sorry. But a photo of it would help.

@thestylehustle no worries! I don’t take offense at all and I’m always open to discussion! When I check with my Levi’s expert, I’ll figure it out and add photos of what I need to as well. Thank you for your comment!

@thriftmedley I truly appreciate your kind response! I admit I my comment was written brash & too quickly out of frustration at how many sellers list selvedge in the description when they aren’t, making it really hard to actually find Selvedge denim jeans.
I’m more than happy to delete all my comments if I’m wrong! I’m so sorry! I should have read the fiber content before jumping to conclusions. The Levi’s premium line is all over the place causing a lot of confusion for me.

@thestylehustle I agree, and it’s super important to me to keep the resell space authentic and accurate so no worries at all. I added a cover photo on the listing which should help. I can also add a quick flipped cuff photo when I get home. I am confident they are selvedge denim! (Also full disclosure my daughter resells with me and has worked for Levi’s for a long time and is my Levi’s expert! I checked with her and she said yes 100% they are and she knows how to recognize the selvedge denim.)
