@zbooya hi Zach. Thanks for stopping by. So I see you’re tagging somebody and I don’t know why. I guess it’s your right to be able to tag whoever you want but it’s sort of nice to know what’s going on here. You can laugh at me, but it’s cooler if you laugh with me.

@goodtreasures hey — just saw this. My wife @karina_kay found your closet while she was on my phone and tagged herself! 😁 AWESOME CLOSET ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

@zbooya thank you sir. I see you’re selling a few things yourself. I challenge you to make them appear as cool and as valuable as possible. If you didn’t love them you wouldn’t triple the price and have a perfect explanation for why someone should by them anyway

@goodtreasures I really appreciate the advice from a frequent poster / seller! I have yet to make a sale on PoshMark but feel inclined to venture out on this path. Challenge Accepted

@zbooya that way, it’s an exercise in selling and every sale is like a home run. Check out the vacuum hose or the typewriter I sold here the other day. Price doesn’t mean everything. Guy with money in hand sees value and has all the info he needs to make a decision…anywhere else it might be some kinda joke, but here it’s you imagining yourself into the shoes of the buyer who’s dropping the cash like nothing matters to make sure nobody else does first….

@goodtreasures now and then I go back and put the something else in to see if I can try a new approach. one of the things that a guy can do if you get a well lit picture of that item. Give it to ChatGPT and ask her to have it modeled.

I mean, you could have a death metal T-shirt on you know Joan Rivers if you wanted to I’m just saying like if you have an imagination for what you can display it like that you think will hit your most likely best chance for a premium value being paid in a customer, then tell ChatGPT and just make sure that it doesn’t change the form of your item or let it be known that it’s more of an inspiration picture than the actual picture and you can always show the original.

I peeked your solds and saw a few $3 sales. That’s like when I “sold” a Kirby G7 to my own mom for $600 when I was supposed to be asking $2200. Those same Kirbys list for $3800 now. Point is: perceived value is everything.

You can’t expect premium buyers if you price like a garage sale. People only overpay when they believe the thing is worth it — condition, proof, clarity, flaw pics, why it matters. That’s the job.
If the goal was “first person who wants it, take it,” cool, mission accomplished. If the goal was “get real money for a good preowned piece,” then $3 isn’t a win. That’s not hate. That’s me talking to you like I looked in your closet and actually care if you eat.

@frock_of_ages I am not doing that great. I’ve been writing about a lot in my blog though.
