Looks like it's been pieces together with papier-mâché but I believe it is leather. Has a few spots were the leather isnt perfect. See photos. There's no brand and no way for me to verify if it's leather or papier-mâché. But it is very sturdy and heavy and is a beautiful display piece. Almost like a statue. In excellent condition you can tell it is very old. I have a whole collection of Safari animals if you want to make an offer for the whole set. These were popular in the 50-70's.
