Last Boat from Beyrouth Book First Edition Inscribed by author Royce Brier

Vintage book titled 'Last Boat from Beyrouth' by Royce Brier. Classic black cover with gold lettering. Good condition vintage item with small signs of age and wear. Royce Brier was an American author and journalist who wrote fiction, including a novel about the American Civil War titled Boy In Blue (1937). Another one of his works was a novel published in 1943 related to World War II, possibly the book containing this inscription. The recipient, Oscar Lewis, was also a notable writer and historian, known for his works on California history and the American West. He was the author of numerous articles and books.
