The stone is bezel set and is surrounded by a filigree style design. Tapered shank. Marked as sterling and tested positive as such via chemical testing. Very cool ring. Larimar's properties include its distinctive blue color and a hardness of 4.5–5 on the Mohs scale, making it relatively soft. It is a silicate mineral (\(NaCa_{2}Si_{3}O_{8}(OH)\)) that is translucent to opaque and has a vitreous to silky luster.
