"English, mothahf**kah. Do you speak it?"* 😆 You can blame this snarky editorial post on @pinkcloudtracy, who told me my posts reminded her of that quintessential tee, "Watch out or you'll end up in my novel." 😂😈😂 But izz all gut. As Teddy Roosevelt might put it, I carry a big stick with students, but only speak quietly with friends. If you suffer from my malady and like to LYFAO, check out the book Eats, Shoots and Leaves. It's on Amazon. *Pulp Fiction. Actual demotivational poster! 😂

mamaseedApparently I wasn't enough of a stickler with my typing in my other message! 😏

singaporejones@mamaseed Todo es bueno! 😁 I'm starting to drop I's to i's because i (see?) get tired of correcting my keyboard! It's insidious, I tell you! Speed versus accuracy in posts. I'm just glad Swype exists or I'd get no sleep and have carpal tunnel in my fingers.

hobbswife@singaporejones Also love all of the "sequenced" dresses and cute "sandles". And let's not forget the sexy high "hills". Sometimes they are even genuine "swade".

Jan 19Reply

singaporejonesOH GODS, "sequence" dresses make me groan every time! 😣😂 Have seen all the others too, plus "burgandy," "lavendar," and even "neckless," which is sort of a horrible unintentional pun. I get those issues when someone clearly isn't a native English speaker, but.... 😧 The worst, though, are ones like "whats ur lowest," to which I always want to say, "$20 higher just for u b/c grammar errors r $5 each". 😜

goodgaudyI'm guilty, but I have good taste. Lol

Jan 25Reply

sejoursouvenirAhahaha! this reminded me of me of my mom! My brother calls her the grammar Nazi! lol she reads through community circulars and finds all the errors lol, but lagit she's the one I can call when I have any questions 😂🙈🙏

Mar 19Reply

singaporejones@livefree24 😂 We'd get along! I'm an editor, so, yeah, total Nazi on such things. Mom is just as bad. We can't read the local paper without getting pissed off about all the errors, between our training in both journalism and English usage. You can practically see it coming, the screw-ups, and it's like watching a campy horror movie: the kids are about to go in the woods, and you're just thinking, "No, don't, don't be idiots, don't.... Crap, you went there." Sigh. 😜😁

Mar 19Reply

sejoursouvenir@singaporejones 😂hahha ur funny! I definitely have an affinity (or is that infinity? Lol!) for the English language as I love writing and have a knack for grammar (I guess the gene did pass along somewhat) but still I guess I'm not as advanced as the upper echelons of the grammar society haha 🙏

Mar 19Reply

singaporejones@livefree24 Hehe you're fine! 😁 I mean, you used "echelon" 👍👍😆 The local paper would think that was some kinda sports competition.... 😜

Mar 19Reply

May 06Reply

mswhite56@singaporejones Yes! Yes! Yes!

Mar 16Reply

singaporejones@dreamsintexas It's not an easy area, especially with English being so hodge-podge. I got lucky (mostly?) in that I have two parents who are high-verbal sticklers. Also, my English teachers knew their stuff and could explain it well.
