Lester E. Varian was a Denver artist and architect born in 1881. He studied at the Pratt Institute of Architecture and Barber's Beaux-Arts Atelier in New York City and apprenticed under the famous Paris architect Chifflot. He became known for his etchings and lithographs of Colorado cities and towns and the landscapes surrounding them. His prints were exhibited at the Denver Art Museum and acquired by the Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C. He also taught etching at the University of Denver from 1935 to 1942. Born 1881, died 1967.
Print area is approx 11.5" x 8". Print is signed, unmatted and unframed. Paper is ivory colored with deckled edges. Estimated to be completed in the 1940's.
Condition - slight tearing on the edges of the paper, but does not affect the print area.
