They are very durable, yet still soft with a good bit of stretch. There is no wear between the legs. The shade is between a rich burgundy color and a brick red. They are a colorful twist on a preppy classic. These very gently worn classic preppy cords are ready for a new home - I love these but I rarely wore them because cords and other winter weight clothes are just a bit too thick for typical Texas weather.
