Lakeside toys barrel of monkeys 1966 with 22 monkeys

base of barrel says 1966 with no later date, but a rudimentary search doesn't bring up many red barrels pre-88. however I don't think this IS an 88 model since the copyright info is a circle on the base and the 88 models had the copyright in blocked print. has 28 monkeys but I don't believe all are original. one has a different plastic so even though it's red, it gives a pink hue.
