'Nuthin' Fancy' is the third studio album by the Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, released in March of 1975. This was the band's first record with new drummer Artimus Pyle. As the title suggests, this album is an effort by the band to get back to their down-home, heavy blues-rock foundation. It was the bands' first to reach the Top-10, peaking at #9 on the US Billboard 200 Albums chart.
The album is best known for its only single, 'Saturday Night Special,' a song about the dangers of mixing firearms with alcohol and impulsive behavior. The song peaked at #27 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
'Nuthin' Fancy' was ultimately certified Platinum in the US.
