LF DESIGNS 1970s Sterling Silver and Turquoise Concho Black Leather Belt Buckle

This Native American inspired concho belt was assembled in the 1970's by LF Designs, a jewelry designer in NYC during the 1970's. This belt contains 6 cast butterfly shaped conchos and 6 cast oval shaped conchos, all of which are sterling silver. 7 conchos have authentic Sleeping Beauty turquoise gemstones in their centers. The buckle is marked "STER" for sterling silver. The rest of the conchos test positive for sterling using a testing stone and acid. Their center is hidden by the belt so the mark cannot be seen. To be clear, this was not made by a Native American, just an American! Weight: 13 oz Dimensions: Fits 30 1/2" to 34 1/2" waist. Leather belt: 37" long x 71/6" wide Condition: Wear is commensurate with age with tarnishing on silver and copper backs. Some of the copper loops in the back have been hammered to create a firm attachment to the leather belt. See photos.
