LALIQUE Clear Crystal Mistletoe Ornament - 1988

Vintage 1988 Lalique Clear Crystal Mistletoe Ornament Authentic Christmas ornament by the famous French glassmaker René Lalique. It comes in the original Lalique Paris box with foam lining. The ornament is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips, however the black print on the edge that reads Noel 1998 is partly rubbed off (see photo). It comes with the original Lalique red hanging ribbon. The ornament measures approximately 2.5 in diameter. Lalique is a French luxury glassmaker, founded by glassmaker and jeweller René Lalique in 1888. Lalique produced glass art, including perfume bottles, vases, and hood ornaments during the early twentieth century. Following the death of René, Lalique transitioned to producing lead glass (crystal) works during the 1950s while under the direction of René's son, Marc Lalique. Rene Lalique exhibited at the Paris exhibition in 1925 and won many awards for his beautiful work in glass and Art Nouveau jewelry during the Belle Époque era. His studio has carried on making incredible art, perfume bottles and glass.
