A set of vintage, brass, reproduction of Korean map-ae (horse badges)! Includes badges that have: 2-One horse, a Two Horse, a Three Horse, A Four Horse, and a Five Horse. Used by government officials, the number of horses (ranging from 1-5) would signify the importance of the mission, 5 being the highest. Original medals were bronze and date as early as 1392 up until 1910. These reproductions most likely date from the 1950s-1960's. They measure 3.25 inches in diameter. Some tarnishing. Includes the Set of 6.
