Offered here is a pair of porcelain dessert plates from the Koenigszelt Porcelain Factory in Silesia, Germany, dating to the 1920s. The Wild Roses pattern features delicate white blooms with soft green foliage, rendered in a transfer design typical of early 20th-century European tableware. Originally trimmed in silver, most of the metallic edging has worn away with time.
Each plate measures approximately 6½ inches across. Both are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Signs of age include utensil wear, yellowing to the glaze, and fading of the silver trim.
A graceful addition to a romantic table setting or a collector’s cabinet of early German porcelain.
