Finish: Matte, Satin, Textured Looking for a unique take on pearls? Well, this GORGEOUS vintage pearl collar by world famous jewelry designer Kenneth Jay Lane is perfect for you! The first unique thing about this piece are that instead of traditional pearls, mabé pearls are used. If you are not familiar with mabé pearls, they are semi-circle shaped pearls that lay flat on the back and round on the front. In addition to the pearls are clear round cut SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS that are scattered in between the pearl petals. The stones are set into matte satin finished gold tone with a hammered texture on the flowers and a smooth texture on the wrap. On one side is a 1" by 1" flower and the other a 2" by 2" flower. So different! Finally, one of my least favorite things about classic pearl strands (other than making me bored), are their tendency to have lobster claw clasps. Who has time for that? This necklace is AMAZING because it has a spring hinge on the back allowing you to simply pull the flowers apart to put on and take off. True choker length at 14"L. Designer Signed. This piece is in excellent vintage condition: there is a tiny nick on one of the pearls on the left flower and tiny scratch on the inside portion of the gold tone wrap.
