This pack worked perfectly for the one and only hiking trip I ever took. It's size was perfect for a 3-night winter mountain hike. There is a pocket or a strap for everything and even smaller pockets for little pieces of gear that could easily get lost in there. I could fit two adult winter sleeping bags and all the food for the trip. It has a lot of adjustment for a comfortable fit. And a very sturdy hip belt that takes a ton of weight off the shoulders. If set up properly, it could be the most comfortable pack you'll have. No rips, tears, or even any scuff marks. When not in use, I had it wrapped in plastic and stored indoors.
