While in London, our buyers couldn't get enough of artist Karen Nicol's intricate, animal-themed motifs. Upon graduating from the Royal College of Art with plans to become a painter, Nicol couldn't ignore the versatility and diversity of textiles as a medium. Today, the mixed-media mogul specializes in embroidery techniques like Irish, cornelli and multi-head, which she uses to create whimsical fabrics for the modern home.
