ladyarachnid @caffeineandswag my degrees were in English so he and I share an affinity for paper books. He's getting these ridiculous editions from Easton Press, they do hardback books with gilt lettering on the covers. He got Frank Herbert's Dune yesterday, it's freaking gorgeous.

caffeineandswag @ladyarachnid W0w that sounds fancy and expensive. It's a good thing you are making millions on PM (ROLLS SIDE EYE) I am not sure I would have the patience for reading Dune. I've got a minor in English Lit and the only cool things I do is collect horror in hardback and teach Japanese kids English in the evenings. I need to sell everything off in the next 10 months as I am going abroad to live in Vietnam permanently and saying farewell to the resell hustle. 👋

ladyarachnid @caffeineandswag Wow, what takes you to Vietnam? Teaching English as a 2nd language and such? I have a friend who went to South Korea right after we graduated university to do the same thing and he's never been back to the states except to visit, just loves it there.
