mcjayne @pink_coconut Amy it all depends love...the first time around expect some nausea and your fevers will probably peak for a day then start to subside...the anti nausea drugs...LIVE ON THEM...zofran is great and if you are able to get acces legally in your state to marijuana please please do...it will reduce, significantly, a lot, if not all of your nausea ...hopefully your oncologist can prescribe medical (called marinol and it looks like a vitamin e pill)...helps a LOT...you will feel tired, sluggish, sleepy and will probably lose your appetite (the green anti nausea remedy helps fix the appetite too😍)...hibernate sweetheart and who knows? You may champ thru this like its nothing and you will feel a-ok...no matter what...I'm here to help.

mcjayne @pink_coconut u think its a great idea to have someone with you the first few times...if you think a relative or loved one would bother or grate on your nerves (expect to be a bit irritable or emotional...also normal😘)...keep the t.v on for company, light good smelling candles and keep little high protein snacks around...above all remember that this is temporary and you may be one of those lucky girls who gets through this like its nothing...remember; it's ok to be mad, pissed, hurt, angry, upset, feel picked on and bullied one day and tough as hell the next...you will have good bad and ugly days but they will fade in your memory I can promise you that my friend. Don't be scared, you are able to get thru this and it's easier than you think...you have my ear and shoulders ok? Your Dr can also provide an at home nurse who can stay with and look after you (yes insurance does cover it) through any tough times ok? There is a lot of help out there for us.😍

My hospital is huntsman cancer institute in slc utah, they have a lot of great info on lymphoma. Also what to expect. Are you going to be on rituxan do you know?

pink_coconut @mcjayne hi Jayne. Yes, I know the state of NJ does have medicinal marijuana. Is that what marinol is? I have so much zofran here I can open up a pharmacy already! It gives me a horrible headache tho. Is there something else that's good? Maybe compazine? Idk what can be used with chemo. I'm so sorry for asking all these dumb questions honey. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to talk to me. ❤️💖

pink_coconut @mcjayne I'm not sure what other meds I'm going to be on yet. I'll know more on Thursday. Everything has to revolve around my blood clotting disorder & my blood thinner. THATS a HUGE problem! This is so complicated. I have no one. My mom just passed away a year ago today. Idk if I can or even want to do this. 💔 My daughter is in Pennsylvania going to college & I'm not asking her to leave for me. I can't afford toothpaste, yet I'm supposed to run back & forth to the cancer center everyday?! 😫 AGHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm sorry.....I'm so sorry.....it just seems like the best people get the shitty end of the stick! Murderers & ppl who do unmentionable things should have to deal with this stuff. Not us. 😢

mcjayne @pink_coconut Amy live anytime you have a ? Or anything love I'm here... Here's some hope...I still have my hair!!! Who knows? You may get lucky!!! Marinol is great, it's the Rx version of marihuana and it's great stuff...the more natural though the better, please please have some around...it's a miracle drug and won't give you that heavy head feeling zofran does...compazine and phenergan are 2 great anti nausea drugs in a category known as phenothiazines...(long word I know lol)...they are cheap, old anti nausea meds and if they work for you lucky girl because they are cheap and you will sleep too!!! That another thing you may do a lot of...snooze whenever you can and will feel like...time and pain passes fast and you can handle it all better when you are rested and hydrated (Gatorade makes diahhreah worse so be careful with it) stick with water and add some fresh lime or lemon to spruce it up when it's boring...good movies, good company (or none at all lmao depending on your feelings)... So I'm here...love to you and ask away...I wish someone had been here for me to pick the brain of when I started chemo (I've done a few different types now😍) and everyone reacts differently which I know is cliche sounding but so true...you may sail through it with barely a second glance or your will and health will help you glide through or you may spend a day up chucking but I certainly hope not an most people truly do better than they expect to. I lost my health insurance back in July and my prescriptions are so pricy and remember this is a business...cancer is big $$$ and big profit and sadly you will see the best and worst of people in this illness but I hope and pray that it's the positive side...food banks are there to help you...please get on the Internet and find a local one...all those times you donated to others in need??? (And I know you did😍), now it's your turn ok? And it's OK...your drs office will have counsellors (free) who you can talk to and there is financial assistance for people like you and I who I co siders "the working poor" lol...we have to work in order just to live...you CAN DO THIS amy...I know I sound like a cliche but you will get through this and though you may not feel hopeful now the good things to come weigh heavily in your favor and I am here for you anyway.💖

pink_coconut Hi @mcjayne Jayne. I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. Things here are SUPER bad! I'm desperately trying to figure out a way how to get my daughter something for Christmas. Got a letter that my food stamps have been decreased starting next month! My cars battery is dead & I can't afford a new one, nor can I afford to make the payments on the car anymore. (Kinda pointless when the car doesn't run!) Have to go for another surgery because the drs think there's more cancer somewhere. I'm so sick, tired & weak; I can't stand it!!! Dr gave me Marinol, but NO PHARMACY HAS IT!!! Been forever & a pharmacy a 1/2 hour away was able to get it, but now they're waiting on authorization papers that my dr HAS to fill out!! So, maybe I'll get them Monday! Good thing my aide lives over there. 😕 Wondering how they make you feel? Just tired? Or like you smoked? I can't smoke anymore because it makes me vomit immediately. People I didn't even know have done such wonderful caring things for me and I have to and want to pay it forward so I'm going to tag you...the marinol is worth the paperwork and any trouble you have to go to to get it...im SO glad you got the prescription...it's going to help you so much...is there anything in particular you need or want? Have you heard of "go fund me? If you can, get on there and make yourself a page and just share your story ok? I know how hard it is financialy...I will be filing for medical bankruptcy here soon....my finances are shot...savings are now non existent and I even sold all my stock in the company my husband works for (been saving it since age 18) and that's gone...losing my insurance killed us...and we are on the precipice because he makes too much...? Ha ha what a joke because he makes $40,000 a year and I barely work...nice to know the government has your back right? Why on EARTH are they decreasing your food stamps??? So angry about this for you. Amy, I mean it, I want to send you something and I would like you to go in my closet and pick out a couple of things for Christmas ok? pink_coconut @tablarasa Hi Hayley. Thank you so much for reaching out to me. It truly means the world to me! I don't know if you'll have anything that fits me, because I'm 5'9". Very tall. Creates a problem finding clothes, because I'm down to 120 lbs & everything that fits, is way too short, so I have to look for sweatshirts & pajama tops in a size L & bottoms in a size s or m but long. I like things baggy. Obviously not leggings, but tops, I hate them to be clingy. I always wear layers of clothes anyway because I freeze!! @mcjayne has the same problem thanks to the chemo. 😕 If you happen to have any winter boots or sneakers in a size 9, please lmk. If you have pa y pal, I'd be more than happy to pay for shipping. 1 other thing I need badly is a purse! Something roomy.....doesn't have to be anything special. I have a pale blue Juicy bag my bf bought me 4 Christmases ago & I'm still using it!! (Needless to say, it's an eyesore & a bit embarrassing) That's ok! My boots are 6 years old!! Bearpaws, but still, they've done their duty! Then my sneakers....I've been wearing the same ones for 3 years. Mind you, I only have 1 of each of these items, so I feel like a complete homeless person when I go to the doctors & the cancer center. It's horrible! It SUCKS having no1!!! I'm so sorry for veering off there honey...I'm just at my wits end here. I just don't know what to do anymore. 💔 I'm sick & tired of being sick & tired.....I'm sure you've felt that way before....With the flu or something? You are amazingly sweet to want to buy me shoes sweetie, but I honestly have been crying for the past 20 minutes so hard that I couldn't even begin to write. I can't ask you to buy me shoes love. Whatever you have or can come up with would be great! (You mentioned your mom is a L) Idk what a Vera Bradley purse is, but as long as it will hold a book, my wallet, keys, handicapped placard, gum, tissues, my TY Pluffies stuffed animal (Puddles the duck) who I don't leave home without, & an interior pocket for all my cràpola, then it's perfect! I'm not picky when it comes to most things. Just my feet mostly. They are wide & my instep is super high due to me walking on my toes till I was 4 & I've always had problems with them & finding shoes. Bearpaws are great & Nikes are great. Neither are heavy. Well, some Nikes are heavy, but the running ones aren't. So expensive tho! That's why I still have my same old pairs. Anyway, I hope you had a very Merry Christmas, if you celebrate 🎄🎅⛄️🎁! I will post my address here so if the purse & jacket you have work, maybe you can send them? Oh, and if your mom has anything in a L, top wise. Thank you.....really. You're a very rare, loving, caring person & that's a beautiful thing! I can't thank you enough for everything you are doing to try to help me...a total stranger. I too had a son with autism. I know it's trying at times, but I also think, as moms, it makes us better people. More sensitive, more easy going, more patient, more loving, more kind, but mostly, more understanding I think. My son was born with craniosynostosis, (premature closing of the sutures in the skull) and the drs wouldn't listen to me! At 7 months old, he still couldn't roll over! Long story there... Another time. I've had many years of battling cancer (this is my third and sadly last CANCER battle but I hate to think things will be over anytime soon), having this gives you an entirely different outlook of just how PRECIOUS and what a gift each day is...I have learned to enjoy and stockpile good memories and every minute I have with my family is too special for words,.. If I pass on nothing else in this world I want to be remembered for having the grace to accept I have been given a challenge and I will never be given a fight I can't endure and I see that same thing in Amy and I know everyone who is lucky enough to be her friend sees that too.💖

mcjayne @tablarasa oh honey I'm sorry if I sound so down...I just honestly spent the most God awful few days after my latest chemo 3 days before Christmas and I was completely bed ridden and so so sick and it was like dying and honestly it was the FIRST time I've been really frightened by this...they put a neuro toxin in a lot of chemos and it will actually push your muscles to the point of spasm and my hands curled inward like claws...I don't mean to sound sorry for myself but this one was truly the worst one yet and it's got me a little down...I hate my girls to see me like that and right know I just feel stinky and ugly and I can barely put one foot in front of the other to get to the shower...I need help to get up the stupid stairs for gods sake and it's never been this bad...I will be my old self before you know it. I won't EVER stop battling but some days it feels like a war I just can't win...I hope that makes sense @pink_coconut goes a few days too when she's incapacitated and I knew just how she felt plus nobody had told her what to expect!!!! Poor Amy had to get more info from me than her Dr and that's often how they treat you, sadly.

Your heart is so big and generous and you are truly an angel..I believe people come into our lives for a reason and I sure feel blessed to have you in mine. pink_coconut @tablarasa Hi Hun....just wanted to let you know I didn't receive the boots. Something's not right. Someone else sent me a gift & it arrived here today already. I'm usually awake when my mailman comes. 99% of the time anyway. I know no package, other than the one I received today has been delivered here this week. They are definitely lost Hun. I'm really upset about this, as I know you've bent over backwards for me and this creates a huge headache now for everyone involved. I had chemo today & was so looking forward to wearing my new boots. It's freezing here! I have a down comforter my mom bought me like 15 years ago...it's super warm, but has started to fall apart & I can't sew the holes anymore, so I've got duct tape all over it. 😄 My daughter calls it "the ghetto blanket". I never slept with socks in my life, but do now. Layers of clothes! I can't get warm enough...plus the apartment complex I'm in does a very poor job of putting up heat. I have a temp thermometer in here & it rarely gets above 66°. They don't care! Been complaining for 23 years. Anyway, please lmk if there's anything I can do to help with tracking the package. Years ago I had to sign a form for ups stating I never received a package, so maybe the usps works the same way? Idk. I feel so bad about this & am frustrated that it's saying delivered!!!! WHERE?!?! 💔😫 Time to try & get warm sweetheart. ❤️🙏

becks80 So sorry but praying for your journey & for healing. My Mom was diagnosed with lymphoma about 6-7 yrs ago & the Dr's gave her no hope but we as a family put our trust and faith in God & He healed her. She has now been cancer free for a year. Of course she went thru chemo and remission & all that & it seemed like forever but I'm so glad she's back to her normal self again. You too will overcome this! Just trust in God & seek him like never before & He will walk you through this. ❤️ God bless you!

thedarkqueen27 @pink_coconut I'm so sorry to hear your struggling!!:( ik there are websites that will fund medical marijuanna patients, if you cannot smoke it then I suggest trying edibles, you can even marijuanna butter to make savory foods, they do not have to be sweets, ik that they help incredibly with headaches/migraines and body pains, edibles give you more of a body high (which will relax your muscles and more) meanwhile smoking it gives you a head high which some my not like or be able to handle, I'm actually in a culinary arts class right bc I want to become either a personal medical marijuanna chef or a medical marijuanna culinary scientist to help people whom struggle with illnesses that marijuanna helps with, you may also want to ask your Dr about CBD pills/oil it still gets you a little high but the CBD chemical in marijuanna is more focused on helping you and your body rather than getting you high, I really hope this helps love!!!😍😍😘😘😘❤ I hope your feeling a little better!!(:

Usually $15 at a time but every bit helps. I followed your share from my closet & saw this.. It hasn't been easy and my heart goes out to you. You are a miracle did u know that? I'll look thru ur closet too. I can relate to nausea having multi directional vertigo from severe degenerative disc disease. I'm the disintegrating woman, lol. I've lost over three inches in height. Its hereditary so I've learned. All my bones are affected but moreso the spine. Rh arthritis & osteoporosis arthritis in all my joints. I gain weight, lose weight. Tried every treatment there is but nothing stops this progression I've had it since as early as high school when i had a hip hurting from gymnastics or what we thought at the time. Then it was my knee, my elbow, my neck, my lower back, middle back & pain galore. I can relate to how bad you can feel. I'm glad you found these awesome women. I'm new here and we women are strong esp when we are in it together. I've felt so loved & welcomed here and I've only been here since feb 7th. God bless you. I'm here if u need to talk. That goes 4 anyone. I wonder if we can start a .org closet? Hmm. Lm think on that. My closet is helping a friend with medical bills but we might be able to make something more out of this. ... I used to be problem solver type but when I'm down n nauseated i can't get anything done. That's more often than not though. I hope to talk to you &Jayne too. pink_coconut @grace4d Hi hun. I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to write back to you, as I haven't been feeling well at all. I'm really sorry to hear about your illnesses. It's so difficult for us, I know. I also know God is good though. My life has been in shambles for a few years, but I believe he will & has helped me to get over many obstacles. Yes, I do have a Walmart near me love. That's great you get those! How do you get them, if you don't mind me asking? Maybe I can earn some. They'd be great to have! I could even buy toilet paper there! I saw that your son is sick with strep throat & a tummy virus. 😔 I sure hope & pray he feels better very soon! Nothing worse than our babies being sick. (No matter how old they are) They'll always be our babies. Sorry dear, it's time for my shower. 😕 I'm too weak & unstable to do it alone, so my aide has to help me with a shower chair. 😔 Please email me anytime if you'd like .... grace4d It takes me awhile to write in email but real quick: Wal-Mart has a app called"savings catcher" they price match what you buy & give it to you in a debit or electronic card after u it in.. When I get up to $20 or more I give away. If We get the word out & all of us can send you our savings, it help you better yes? It beats coupons! I'll email u soon. I'm dnduu3x at the same as u @ yahoo. It May end up in ur junk files. Lmk if you need ANYTHING. I can ship from Amazon too. Being sick & Disabled forces us to find alternative ways doesn't it? pink_coconut @grace4d That would be great hun. I literally have NO pants that fit me. I wear pajama pants with a safety pin. It's terrible! I'm guessing im a size 7 now, but I'm tall! 5'9". Idk how to find out my size. I truly have nothing that fits. Tops, I always wear bigger. I don't like tight fitting things. Leggings are fine as long as they have some kind of fleece lining so they don't itch me to death. 😄 My daughter got a gift card for Xmas & she bought me socks & underwear. I'm not worried about clothes really, except for a pair of pants or 2. Maybe just 1, because summers coming....HOPEFULLY! Lol! You are an absolute sweetheart for wanting to help. I really can't thank you enough! I'm sorry you're disabled too. Do you have family? I only have my daughter, but she's going to school in Pennsylvania. Living with her fathers dad (her grandpa). We won't even discuss her father! 😡 Idk how I've gotten this far after everything that's happened in my life, but I guess the man upstairs must really be looking out for me & giving me TONS of strength! I know what you mean about being on the floor! Lymphoma isn't my only medical problem. I also have fibromyalgia, a blood clotting disorder, which I'll be on blood thinners for the rest of my life for (caused severe pulmonary embolisms), and I'm only 38. Those are just to name a couple of my biggies! I don't want to bore you. All I know is, life is short. Lost my mom 2 yrs ago, my world, my best friend, my life shattered. Lost my brother 9 years ago to suicide. Killed me! Lost my dad 2 years prior to that. I was ok with that, he was very sick & not the greatest father to me. Anyway, any help, even just being a friend, is greatly appreciated! Obviously there's things everyone needs, but this 1 crazy woman on here said she bought me a pair of boots & sneakers....the boots came, they're so nice! The sneakers never came, but were mailed to her with a purse the person gifted as well. I was honest & said "thank u so much for being so kind & gifting me a purse, but it's not gonna work for me & all the stuff I carry to chemo. I'm very sorry." So the lady who purchased the sneakers, saw what I wrote & had a FIT!!! I didn't want it being sent to me, when I wasn't going to be able to use it. I said "I'm so sorry for being honest!!!" She never sent the sneakers. I saw her writing nasty things about me to the person she purchased them from. Well, I'd rather be honest and have her sell it or give the purse to someone who can or will use it, rather than it just sit here collecting dust. Guess some people can't or don't appreciate honesty. Anyway, I'm going to close for now hun. I hope to talk to you soon! Oh, tomorrow is my chemo day, so I'm in bad shape for a couple days. Email I try to check. I'll try to check on here too. Did u look @wesleymatch 4 clothes? They will provide you long jeans! Nice shirts in medium. do u want some comfy sweats..I'll send u a tag from someone else. What colors do you like? What's ur inseam? Like free the people brand? Loose n comfy. I'm going to mail u a box of clothes. If it fits keep & use. If not, then sell on posh ! No dresses ever? I have a few loose loose ones I love. I'll share x I wish I could be there to help u. we could just be sick together, make goofy jokes & lay on the floor. I spend way too much time alone on the floor. No one understands how bad it is to be that sick. Meds r better than years ago, but it's hard to do. hang in there my friend. You will make it. Sprite n no salt help me some. I'm praying. Nathaneal is better. Ate broth & fever finally came down. now I'm sick. I see dr tomorrow so I can nip in the bud. At the stage I'm in at my life, $5 pants would be nice to have since nothing fits every month. I guess I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand! They are yours to do as you please.. Make some money for u & go shopping when u feel up to it okay? Shopping for yourself helps sometimes...even if it's just a few minutes. As you know I had breast cancer two yrs ago and I am cancer free. I still have issues with my breast because one of my implant his leaking so I'm seeing another Dr to hopefully fix them. But I know you too much more to handle rt now and I'm praying for you.😘

sumthingreat @pink_coconut I too, lost my blessed Mother & my life was destroyed. I've had many health issues all of my life & also have a clotting disorder. I just got out of the hospital a few days ago from having a mini stroke & Bell's Palsy at the same time so I can't work for a long while & rely now on getting financial support through my closet.
