@jenn_hm absolutely not, you should never put your cashmere in the washer. The way to tell if items been shrunk in pictures is if the sleeves are much shorter than the torso of the sweater. As you can see in my pictures, the sleeves are much longer than the torso the sweater meaning it has not been shrunk. Please use measurements in the photos compared to other sweaters in your closet to determine fit.
