John Charley_Navajo_Necklace + Earring SET Lapis Turquoise Spiny Oyster 18.5 925

RARE unicorn VINTAGE find! John Charley Sr. Born in 1930 (Shiprock) into the Navajo, Red Running Into Water for the Bitter Water Clan. He was a master weaver of stone and phenomenal silversmith. This beautiful set demonstrates his ability to pair color, shape, and texture exquisitely into his work. You will find vivid orange spiny oyster, and polished + unpolished rich blue lapis. Its lapis barrel beads all have different hand carved patterns. I believe (not 100% positive though) the turquoise used is Number 8 (minty green with deep brown matrix). It's becoming more rare now that it's no longer mined. Strung on (I think) blue silk cord. His pieces (especially a set) are becoming more and more rare. Finding one with carved lapis like this is incredibly rare. Sterling silver 925. Maker marks as shown. Necklace about 18.5" long. It's pendant 2.75" x 1". Earrings about 3" (including wires) x .75". Have lovely movement. Weighs about 119 grams. In beautiful retro estate condition. Please review photos carefully and ask questions sales are final.
