Hi. I like these. I’m going to sound like a fool because I’ve never bought a pair of tailored pants before. When you say that the inseam is currently 29” with an ability to “let out” 2 inches, does that mean I would end up with a 31” inseam and NO cuffs? If I couldn’t end up with both a 31” inseam AND cuffs, how much pant length would be folded over on the inside and sewn into the pant legs in lieu of cuffs? Do these questions make sense?

Also, is that double reverse pleats I see on the front? And on the inside of the pants, is there a lining? If so, how far down does the lining go? Finally, are there any visible stains, holes, loose threads or other damage? I don’t see any but I must ask before I buy. No offense meant.

@akanorthernlight,
Good morning.
1. Pleats go by different names but these are double pleats that face forward towards the zipper. No lining but soft wool - not scratchy. Pants are in EUC - no issues. Most cuffs are 1.5" - 1.75" so if you cuffed these 29.5" (31" is with no cuffs) is about your max inseam length. Extra inseam length will come from extra material already hemmed inside leg.
Glad to help - Please let me know if you have any other questions & thanks for your interest.

FYI. I spoke to a tailor about the inseam length required to have (or not have) trouser cuffs. 1.25” to 1.5” of cuff is common, she said, with 1” being the min; she also said that cuff lengths are always multiplied by 2 so that half can be folded inside of the leg and sewn. After paying a tailor, I could either have 1) An uncuffed inseam of 30”, or 2) A cuffed inseam of 29”. Neither option works with my 31/32 inseam length. Good luck, though.
