Vintage Joan Sparks for Daniel Barrett 100% Silk Gold Cream Trim Dress Collar & Belt 12 - This is an exquisite 100% silk dress. The color of the dress is a gold/tan color with cream trim. The dress features an exquisite jet black button on the collar and jet black cufflinks that are removable on the cuff of the sleeves. The closure on the cuff of the sleeve is a double button hole like is found on the cuff of a shirt for a tuxedo. The dress also comes with a black belt and black collar shown in photos 15 & 16. The dress can be worn with or without the black belt and collar. Photos 1 & 3 show the dress with the black collar & belt. And, photographs 4 & 5, show the dress without the black belt & collar. Joan Sparks for Daniel Barrett was brand that was carried by Neiman Marcus in the 1980s. I purchased this dress new around 1982 and know it to be 100% silk; however; I could not find the tag that identified the fabric. The measurement from pit to pit is approximately 19 inches. This dress has an elastic waist band and the measurement of the waist is approximately 13 1/2 inches without the elastic stretched out. The length of the dress from the waist to the hem is approximately 28 1/2 inches. The belt is totally adjustable as you slide fabric into the belt and it stays wherever it’s positioned . The length of the belt is approximately 35 inches. This dress is in very good used condition. See photos for more details.
