Old fashioned Jet, where the term 'jet black' comes from, is a light weight semi precious mineral used for making beautiful black buttons, hair pins and hat pins and jewelry in the 1800's. Here it is cut and polished into smooth triangles, set in sterling silver bezels and hung from sterling silver hooks.
