Jerry Seagle Framed Watercolor Native American. I have not had this appraised. However, I do believe this to be an original by looking at the texture of the paper, paint pattern & signature. It does not have a mat; the paper has been cut & affixed. This piece of art is stunning & immediately catches your eye. The colors are magnificent. It is framed in a wood frame that has a red hue to match the colors in the watercolor. It would make an excellent addition to a Native American collection. Jerry V. Seagle was born on July 31, 1941 in Corpus Christi, TX & passed away on June 24, 2016 in Austin, Texas. Jerry was a contemporary artist & graduated with honors & a BFA from the University of Texas. He received a graduate fellowship to further his studies at the University of the Americas in Mexico City. He had extensive teaching experiences with workshops in Texas and New Mexico & received more than 250 awards in national and regional exhibitions. He continued painting until his death.
