Enameled in vivid colorations; iron-red, green and black colors with blue under glaze, central roundel showing a Dutch three mast ship at sea, surrounded by a large border with two smaller reserves enclosing a similar ship and two coats-of-arms, divided by pairs of standing Dutchmen, on a trellis diaper-pattern ground, gilt highlights. Depicting Dutch trading ships with their sails tied up and their flags unfurled and in the breeze, ready to load a cargo of Japanese porcelain.
