Japanese Dragonware Vintage Porcelain Teacup & Saucer

Elegant teacup and saucer with intricate dragon design. Features a blend of blue and gold colors. The teacup and saucer set is Japanese Dragonware, which is a type of porcelain decorated with raised enamel dragons in a technique called moriage. The style of porcelain was produced in Japan from the late 1800s until 1947. Dragonware often features handpainted details and gold trim. The inside of the tea cups are sometimes an orange luster finish and this particular teacup has the inside that is the original orange luster finish. The teacup also has a gold handle. Dragonware is considered a collectible item. Both teacup and saucer are in excellent condition. Teacup measures approximately 2.5" in height. Saucer measures approximately 5" x 5".
