Japanese Black Mountain Range Morning Sunrise Hand Painted Textured Satin Finish Ceramic 8.5" x 2.5" Vase I cannot decipher the brand which is printed on the underside of this vase, but I do know it is from Japan, painted by hand on a textured semi-matte surface. The vase is lightweight with thinner walls--as someone who makes pottery, I know how it is achieve this balance. To me this looks like a mountain range in the early morning when the sun is just coming up over the peaks. Very beautiful alone as an object of desire or with a single branch or stem as a vase.
