The camera does turn on and record although the video footage looks great on the LCD once it’s recorded to the VHS, the footage looks very irritating. It may be the camera heads they need to be cleaned. I didn’t mess with it since I didn’t know what to do. But I can guarantee that camera does work and record just at the video footage. It’s messy. The adapter makes the mini tape viewing into a vhs and can switch it to a VCR.
