I do not have a tape to fit this so I cannot fully test it. That is ultimately why I listed it for parts. It fully Powers up ejects and accepts tapes the side screen works. I would recommend replacing the battery. I did have a charger that I used to charge up the battery to test it and it did hold a charge but I would replace it anyways.
