Stylish J. Peterman 1947 Style Cotton Flannel Buffalo Check Midi/Maxi Dress with long sleeves, perfect for any occasion. Available in classic buffalo plaid. Tagged size 12 but here are the measurements laying flat: 19” underarm to underarm 16” from shoulder seam to waist seam 48.5” total length Peaked collar Button front closure 2 side pockets Button cuffs Cotton flannel Classic Post War, “New Look” fit and flare silhouette. I call it midi/maxi because it depends how tall the wearer stands. Styling suggestion: Add a black leather western style belt and boots to create a very Ralph Lauren Holiday inspired look. The illustrated image is from the iconic J. Peterman catalog, showing the dress in different color ways. In fair condition for its age. I don’t think this dress is a current production. The brand has been making this style since the very early 90’s. This style dress sometimes comes with a matching sash but this one does not. I don’t know if it ever did. There are not belt loops so maybe not. The fabric has quite a lived in look. Cotton flannel tends to release its dye and fade over time. This dress also has some wear marks, please see pics. The first worn spot is at the back of the piece near the shoulder and left sleeve. The other two marks are less visible because they are on the skirt and the way it hangs obscures them. The very last button on the skirt is missing. The price reflects these little flaws. Thank you for checking us out.
