Starr, a Kansas City resident, is a renowned clay artist specializing in slip ware design. She gets her inspriation from 17th century English technique slipware pottery. Slip is a fine mixture of clay and water that is piped onto a ceramic piece. Some say it’s a little like decorating a cake. Designed by Starr and produced by hand in Sri Lanka.
