I attended a class with a friend about the creation of Malas and how intentions are an integral part of making a unique piece. This is a one of a kind hand knotted mala using rosewood beads contrasting with the beautiful accent Iolite bead and handmade tassel in violet. Iolite symbolizes hope and is known as the compass stone. This piece is imbued with the intention of creating calm when the path gets rough. It can be used for meditation. The teacher said that when the mala eventually breaks the mala has served its purpose. My hope is always that my creations find their way to the person that they are meant to serve.
