Incredible Vintage 1960s 1970s Maxi Sweater Skirt

How great is this skirt?!! It’s so unique and eye-catching, I fell in love with it from across the room! The fabric is a gorgeous black knit with a pattern in shades of purple/blue and teal/green. Skirt features: Single pocket on the right hip that was matched perfectly with the fabric so you don’t even know it’s there, and it’s even lined! Almost fully lined, it just doesn’t go all the way to the hem Center back partial zip with single hook/eye on waistband Loops for hanging Depending on the length of your legs, it may be to your ankles (or higher or lower) There aren’t any tags or labels so I don’t know who made the skirt. It does seem to have been professionally made, but the original owner had many of her clothes custom made, so this may have been also. I believe the skirt is probably wool, and may have some mohair in it also. (It’s not scratchy on the inside of my wrist, so maybe it isn’t wool.) Skirt is in very good vintage condition. There is some slight fuzziness and pilling that you may be able to trim off if you want. (My guess is there is some mohair in the fabric which causes this.) Measurements are taken with the garment lying flat and doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of the garment itself, so please be sure to leave room for your body and movement as fabric is NOT stretchy! Waist: 24” Hips: 33” Overall length from top of waistband to hem: 40 1/2” Waistband: 1 1/4”
