“In Country” DVD!

“In Country” DVD! Teenager Samantha Hughes (Emily Lloyd) of Hopewell, KY, is pretty, headstrong...and curious. About the father she never knew -- and about the war that took him away. The war nobody wants to remember. Bruce Willis plays a reclusive vet and Lloyd his niece in In Country, which reveals a family's struggle to heal the wounds of Vietnam. Directed by Norman Jewison (In the Heat of the Night), the film captures the horror of battle -- and the disillusionment of a soldier who thought war meant glory and discovered it also means both pain and fear. A poignant final scene -- the family's emotional visit to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. -- caps a powerful movie that "steers a straight and stirring passage to the heart" (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone).
