Vintage 1989 plate "The Long Promenade", fourth issue in the series "China: Scenes From The Summer Palace" by master artisan Zhang Song Mao.
It captures the beauty of the most astounding architecture work in China, the Summer Palace.
A covered walkway with opulent decoration, richly carved with the most elaborate scenic paintings connecting the many buildings .
The promenade is the longest structure of its kind in China, running 728 meters.
Along the promenade there are four double-eaved octagonal pavilions that serve as resting spots.
Zhang Song Mao learned the ancient technique of ceramic overglaze painting, and won the first of many awards in 1956.
He created a wall painting for the Jian Xi Hall in the People's Meeting Hall in Beijing.
His name is published in the Dictionary of Chinese Famous Artists.
Jingdezhen (Ching-te-Chen) porcelain is considered as the greatest pottery center in the world and in China called the "Capital of Porcelain".
