Welcome to my closet! I’m so glad you stopped by. I love buying and selling on Poshmark, and am happy to answer any questions I can if you’re just starting out. I got lots of help from fellow poshers when I first started. 😊 My personal style (and posh closet style, for the most part) is “classic with a twist.” I’ll always carry classic items, along with a few trendy, preppy, vintage, and even some quirky options. kjoyhm @tara141989 What? That's not right! You're sure it's under 5 lbs, even with the new packaging? Just reprint the label and attach it to a new package and send it. Weigh it first to be certain, but you should be good. You may have to mail it tomorrow if you have no way to reprint the label. Just let your buyer know you had a shipping issue and you just got it resolved.

kjoyhm @sbfashions Hi! Congratulations on all your sales. 🙂 Thanks for reaching out to me and for working so hard at being Posh compliant. It takes work! The tapestries/towels are gorgeous, but I wouldn't sell them in my closet, as they really aren't clothing. Maybe they could be considered an accessory, but that seems to be a stretch. I have seen others selling them, but I've also seen lots of perfume/skin care/hair products/lotions for sale, and those aren't allowed, either.

sbfashions OK thanks for the advice I think I should because one was already selected as a host pic so I don't want to sound off base but it's not really my fault if a mentor selected a noncompliant item having judge my closet compliant you know? I've been trying to ask from the start and did list them as an accessory because they are advertised from the manufacture as being able to be worn as a scarf. Ty I'll figure it out

kjoyhm @sbfashions You're right about it not being your fault that it got Host Picked. That's a tough one. Try to contact them and see what they say. But you have to be extremely clear in your email with your question. I have found that they give generic answers sometimes and are not really answering the specific question I asked.

sbfashions Thanks for the advice I change the descriptions to make clear that they were accessories to be used as scarves more than as just the fabric towels and I will contact posh Mark and ask if they would prefer that I delete the listings try to sell them or how it would least affect my record something specific like that. I'll see if it works sometimes maybe I think it's better to not call attention to a problem if it's not a problem but I don't like to neglect

sbfashions Also, what is your favorite packaging as far as the outer box? Do you use the priority from the post office? I made the mistake of using a flat rate one because I'm used to for at sea and otherwise and I think it messed up my tracking big time on an item or two I'm not sure or it was just a real scam I can't figure it out but I need to adjust my method properly myself

kjoyhm @sbfashions Good idea to list them as accessories. Let me know what you find out when Poshmark gets back to you. I'm curious to know. If a cell phone cover is considered an accessory then maybe a beach towel could be. But you definitely want to be above board, especially if you want to become a suggested user.

kjoyhm @sbfashions I frequently use the priority mail boxes from the post office. I order them online get them dropped off at my house free of charge. But I also use any box that I have around the house. I like to recycle things, so I'll use an Amazon box or something like that if I have one.

sbfashions I am the same way but unfortunately like I said eyes got lime brain and grabbed flat rate boxes and I think it caused a tracking issue once or twice that I didn't realize… I won't make that mistake again! My preference is to use other boxes wrapped in brown paper so today I found three shoeboxes on craigslist and I'm trying to pick those up tomorrow or the next day and use a few of those for a while I have to refineA lot of shop things as they have done for other businesses but now for me again

sbfashions Luckily I've had very well-to-do lady bosses will hire me to be there professional everything and had endless giftwrapping budget options and literally used to be instructed to use as much ribbon as I could possibly cram on a package of the highest quality grosgrain silk you name it so it used to be really fun… Now for me I tried up cycle and I have to go pick up myself remaining supplies to try to make things look nice until I hone in on the exact look I want to do

sbfashions And yes as far as the towel flash round scarf fabric issue I do have them listed as accessories and scarves and I took the description down to suggest them less for home use and more for wearing as a garment. I will ask Pastor Mark but as I said I've seen other supposedly compliant and very successful lady selling them so if they to say no to me I'm going to make a post that no one should be selling them because their profiting quite a bit as I know we're all getting them from the same place

They don’t grow out here, so everyone’s excited the couple of weeks each spring they’re available at the store. As far as lighting, I take my photos by a window and don’t usually use lights. We’re blessed with lovely, golden light here in Southern California.

kjoyhm @getdressed4less I’m sorry I can’t offer more help re lighting. Wish I knew more! You’d have to find tips for your area online, maybe? I know there are lots of bloggers out there who have lots of experience. I just use my phone and its editing features. 🙂
