delmarvadesigns Do you have rural mail delivery to your house? If you do, you can use the USPS app or website. You can schedule pickups. I’m also rural and I hardly ever go to the po. They just pick it up when they deliver my mail.

billetking @mtcloset88 Nope. I wish!! We’re have dirt roads and We have cluster mailboxes up on the highway. FedEx and UPS deliver but the Post Office doesn’t. It’s a bummer and now with gas prices ($5.59 a gal here and it takes two gallons to PO and back) it costs more to run to the post office than the profit on some of the items sold. 🤣

delmarvadesigns I hear you. We don’t have a post office but they are good about delivering. I’m moving to a less rural area but b/c of the cluster mailboxes I doubt they’ll pick up. I was hoping you could save some trips.

1stolive Many dirt or gravel roads here and USPS still delivers. And our mailboxes are a cluster down at the lake. They still pick up at the house. How far is your cluster of mailboxes? Ours is about 1/3 of a mile. I think I read a rule about the distance.

billetking @1stolive About a mile and a half to two miles. Everyone else delivers even USPS delivers express packages. It’s ridiculous.

billetking @1stolive Yes. If you have a pictures of the boxes I would appreciate the pics. Try my first name billine then 123. Then At a as in Apple o as in Oliver l as in lemon. Dot com. Hope you can figure that one out 🤦‍♀️😩😂

1stolive @billetking I think the difference is UPS and Fed Ex do not need to stop at every house. Their deliveries are much more spread out, so 2 miles is not really out of their way. Since USPS generally stops at every address, they spend longer on routes that are more compact, therefore the 1/2 mile restriction.

billetking @1stolive Thank you! I tried ordering supplies lastceeek and couldn’t get through so I bought some mailers and thought I’d try again this week or next. 🤷‍♀️

1stolive @billetking I often take my packages and leave them in an unused parcel locker. Then I message the carrier to let them know ‘No need to come up to the house. Packages are in locker number xx.’ I have my carrier and her regular subs phone numbers for this purpose.
