The Hutschenreuther porcelain factory started production in 1814vestablished by Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther in Bavarian town Hohenburg an der Eger. He employed artists craftsmen & sculptors from all over continental Europe. Hutschenreuther focused on quality & design.
Lorenz Hutschenreuther, Carolus' son, opened another porcelain factory in Bavarian town of Selb in 1857. The Selb/ LHS factory was so well managed that it was able to compete with famous British porcelain brands.
*Production from Loren's factory in Selb is renowned by collectors world-wide for their fine art designs, high-quality craftsmanship, fine china. This gorgeous porcelain set is stamped with marks indicating it was made at the Lorenz Hutschenreuther Selb (LHS) factory Bavaria, most likely 1925-1939.
