Huge vintage designer GEM CRAFT clip on earrings made in USA 🇺🇸

From my personal collection. An unusual design. I’ve owned many years. The designer was Gem-Craft (Craft) which is hallmarked underneath the clip. See photo. Gem-Craft was founded in 1945 by Gene Verri while he was still working for Coro. His jewelry was proudly made in Rhode Island. It ended up being a 3 generation company before it closed. The history of the founder and this company is fascinating. I could write a whole chapter on it. It was a true American success story. The clip is solid but does not pinch the ear. If you were going to do jumping jacks, they would fall off your ear but if you are in normal wear they are fine. The clips are at a slight angle, see photo. That’s the way they were made. G4
