“Hope,” by abstract expressionist artist, Ellen Reinkraut is an excellent example of her unique style of painting with layers upon layers upon layers. Not only is the oil paint layered but the meaning and depth of the piece have multiple sensibilities of style, time, space, symbolism, and intention. Of note, “Hope,” features an interpreted peace sign on the upper right side balanced by an upstretched hand towards the upper left side.
