(to Kauai) - Although the daytime temps here in beautiful northern CA this week have been 41-46 ,so me saying I have been "freezing" is relative I guess. ha ha . _______________ Seriously though - my niece-in-law and her Air Force hubby WHO ARE STATIONED IN HAWAII have an "open house" policy for family to come stay .... I am pretty sure Orion (hubby) & I need to take advantage of that!!

I can’t stand the cold and we move to WA from VA about 6 years ago-back then I thought it was so warm here. I’ve acclimated and now I need to be somewhere warmer. Lol. I will gladly go and worship the sun!

isabellarobin @vintib You want somewhere warm? Move here to Vacaville! I mean it's cold right now - but from May to November it's HOT HOT HOT. I am sure it would way too hot for you though. I like heat and it's hot for me. Seriously, it does not get below 100 during June-August. Not exaggerating! And it gets up to 120 - VERY Often !!!

vintib @isabellarobin right now it is the rainy season, which lasts from November to April. It doesn’t rain every day. We get light rain a lot, though. It’s beautiful when the sun is out. We have a stellar view of Mt. Ranier from our doorstep. It’s majestic.

isabellarobin @vintib Vacaville LITERALLY means cow-town in Spanish, lol.But it's not as rural as that implies. It's a great place to live! Most everyone is so friendly. There is everything you could ever want here - practically every restaurant known to man, Factory Outlets, art gallery (where my paintings regularly hang!), live music outside all throughout Summer, comedy/concert place, it goes on and on!

isabellarobin @vintib The Solar wasn't cheap. BUT b/c we got it installed at the same time as & on a contract with the new roof, I get a bigger tax break. Something like 50% back !! It was $35k - so the tax break will be AWESOME!!
