From the Homer Laughlin Company is this 6-inch saucer. The glaze is eggshell, and the pattern is one of several they termed nautilus. The pattern consists of pink, orange, and blue flowers gathered into a garland-like string. The saucer is raised to prevent the cup from slipping off. In both the center of the saucer and along the outer border are gold rings.
On the back of the saucer is the green Homer Laughlin stamp. It is a numbered piece which tells us the exact date of manufacture (August 1955 – H55).
~~ CONDITION ~~
The only wear to this saucer is some age yellowing. There are no cracks, chips, crazing, or mends. The floral pattern remains as bright and pretty as it was 68 years ago. There are two kiln flaws on the back.
