Evoking thoughts of the comfort of home. Pride and love for the place that provides hope and safety. Mixing nature with intricate line work. Inspired by the state of Florida, where I have spent the last 26 years of my life. After moving with my family in search of a promising future. I am passionate about drawing, and the intricacy I can create with simple materials. Black cardstock and a pencil are my tools of choice. With these I can create and get lost in the details. The imperfection of nature inspired the soft flowers against the sharp complex lines. In a 8" x 11" piece of paper the details I can create is what brings me joy. The way the lead shine against the black background and its simplicity is true beauty. No color was added here because I wanted the pencil to be the focus. A black frame highlights the art.
