Holy Water Font Hanging Bisque Porcelain Crucified Christ VTG 1961 Jesus Japan

Vintage hand painted Japan ART holy water font/wall pocket dated 1961. This one is missing its original label but it was made by the ART company of Japan. Appears to be a fine quality porcelain bisque and the hand painting is extremely well done. Can be hung or used on a table top. Great addition to a gallery wall. Size: 3" w x 5" h x 2" d Condition*: Excellent condition for age. No chips or cracks. Inside the font where the water would sit there is a build up of some material, perhaps some type of adhesive or hard water. Most of it came off easily but there are a few flecks of it remaining inside the receptacle. Nothing that detracts from its beauty but I wanted to mention it. Keats said "A thing of beauty is a joy forever". Each of us has a different idea of what "beauty" is. I find unique vintage items and offer them to you, the beholder.
